Nvidia Shield - Opened

NVIDIA has shown a lot of love to its lineup of Android devices this week, and the company is showing no signs of slowing down. Following word we’d see the SHIELD Tablet receive Android 5.0 Lollipop before the end of November, the company has begun to roll out an update to its SHIELD Portable.

According to the release notes, SHIELD Portable users should see improved battery drain when the device’s lid is closed, while things like 4K support in Console Mode and video playback in Facebook have been fixed. They’re minor touches, but certainly no less welcome. It’s great to see NVIDIA’s continued support of the Portable, which was released more than a year ago.

In addition to the above bug fixes, NVIDIA also updated the device to the latest SHIELD hub app, which is essentially a store dedicated to games that are exclusive to the SHIELD Tablet and SHIELD Portable. You can see the full changelog at the source link below.
