Over the last several months, almost every single Grand Theft Auto V story we’ve posted here on TechnoBuffalo has been met with several comments expressing frustration over Rockstar’s promised and never delivered multiplayer heists. The developer said it would bring heists to GTA Online early this year, then that feature just disappeared.
The word comes from a recent new-gen preview of Grand Theft Auto V from IGN. It’s at the tail end of that story that the outlet briefly mentions online Heists. “Of course they’re still coming (to all platforms), and ‘soon,’ Rockstar Insists.” That’s what IGN offers, and not much else.
Rockstar has been pretty silent on the issue of online Heists over the last several months. It announced them, delayed them, promised they were still coming and then fell mute. This latest bit of “soon” is the biggest deal we have regarding the now cynically demanded feature.
Grand Theft Auto V will hit the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Nov. 18. The PC version will release on Jan. 27, 2015. Hopefully we’ll see online Heists around the same time.
