It’s been a long time since we had a proper skateboarding game, but according to the man himself, Tony Hawk, we can look forward to some new games with his name on them sometime next year.

Here’s what Tony Hawk had to say on Twitter:

Activision also confirmed to Eurogamer that “new Tony Hawk console and mobile titles are coming in 2015″ and that “Tony Hawk’s Shred Session is postponed indefinitely.”

Hawk signed an exclusive agreement with Activision that is set to expire in 2015, which could be renewed depending on the success of these games. The last Tony Hawk games we saw were Tony Hawk: Shred, the ill-fated game that had players jumping on a real board and riding down virtual hills, as well as the HD update to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, which combined the first two games in the series into a single high def title.
