Grand Theft Auto V comes out in just under two weeks. The first edition, released last fall, had shipped a staggering 32.5 million copies to retail as of January. Rockstar’s goal in the next thirteen days, then, is to get as many of those tens of millions of gamers to think real hard about picking up a copy of the remastered edition.
Yesterday we found about the fully realized first person mode the game will feature and today Rockstar has for us, via PlayStation’s YouTube channel, a video showing off a side-by-side comparison of the original and remastered editions of their chaos simulator.
Natural areas are filled with lush vegitation, urban areas sport much heavier traffic both on foot and in cars. Vehicles’ glossy paint jobs reflect light as you’d expect them to and rain is much more believable than it was before. Even just seeing these small snippets, it clearly makes a big difference in the way the game feels.
While the game won’t hit PCs until after the new year, it’s releasing on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 18.
