It feels like the two packs of DLC for Mario Kart 8 were announced forever ago. Well, the first of the two is set to release next week on the Wii U. It’s coming on Nov. 13.
During yesterday’s Nintendo Direct presentation, the company dropped the DLC’s release date alongside the brand new trailer you see at the head of this post. You’ll catch a glimpse of most of the content within the clip, though I believe there’s more than they showed.
With the first batch of DLC, players will get Link, Tanooki Mario, Cat Peach, eight tracks spread over two cups and four vehicles. The vehicles include the Master Cycle and Blue Falcon that you saw in the trailer, but gamers will also see the favorite B Dasher and the new Tanooki Kart.
We’ll be sure to get gameplay of this first pack of DLC as soon as we’re able. The second pack is slated to launch in May of 2015. Again, that seems super far away.
You can buy each pack separately for $7.99. You can buy them together, though, for $11.99. The second pack will feature just as much content as the first. You can pre-purchase both together now and immediately unlock multi-colored Yoshis and Shy Guys for use.
