The Nexus 9 isn’t cheap. In fact, coming in at $399 off-contract it’s almost twice the cost of last year’s Nexus 7. Considering the cutting edge hardware and software included with Google’s new tablet it may be worth the price, but HTC has your back if you’re holding out for a cheaper option.
HTC is offering a 50 percent discount on the stock Android tablet for 12 hours today. From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pacific time you can pick up a Wi-Fi Nexus 9 for just $199. HTC says it’s only offering a limited number of tablets at that price so act fast, but don’t worry if you miss your chance – there’s still savings to be had. The company plans to sell the Nexus 9 at $50 off for the rest of the day after the initial stock is sold out.
The Nexus 9 is a pretty sleek device and packs an 8.9-inch 2048 x 1536-pixel display, a super-fast Tegra K1 processor, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera, a 6,700mAh battery, 2GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB of non-expandable storage. It’s also the first tablet to run Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
If all of that sounds good, then hit the source link below to grab the discounted tablet for yourself. If not, HTC says it plans to offer a new deal every Tuesday for the next nine weeks, so check back soon for more great offers.
