Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Getting Zombies Through Season Pass DLC

callofduty-advancedwarfare-5_5_2014 _ 09_08_33-21

Last week, we saw a video leak that shared some unconfirmed CGI for a potential Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Given that the game releases tomorrow (or today, for Day Zero buyers) it was odd that this was the first we’d heard of a mode a lot of Call of Duty fans consider nearly essential.

It turns out Zombies will be a part of the Advanced Warfare package, though it will only come as DLC down the line. GameStop released a presser regarding the news. The release doesn’t clarify whether or not buying the season pass for Advanced Warfare will be the only way to get the Zombies mode for the game, but this is the only method mentioned.

Here’s the verbiage as it runs exactly.

This just in, Zombies are back as part of the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare season pass! Stop by any GameStop to pick up one of the most anticipated games to launch this year, along with 4-multiplayer map packs, Atlas Gorge, and yes – ZOMBIES. All this is available for purchase today at GameStop as part of the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare season pass for only $49.99.

We’re not sure about whether or not you’ll be able to get the Zombies mode through any means other than by buying the $49.99 season pass. If you folks have heard otherwise, let us know in the comments below.

What do you think about the Zombies mode shipping as DLC instead of within the game itself?
