Now that The Walking Dead Season 2 and The Wolf Among Us have wrapped themselves up, Telltale can finally get to work on what is easily its most ambitious project in the history of the company: Game of Thrones. Actually, the game might be further in development than you might think, considering how little we’ve seen of it, with Telltale stating that will premiere before 2014 is over!
Community Manager and PR Specialist Laura Perusco took to Twitter to answer some fan questions, and stopped short of confirming an official release date. However, she did say that “the season IS premiering later this year.”
@RatedR2012 No specific release date announced yet, but I can confirm that the season IS premiering later this year. 🙂

Beyond that, we know just about nothing on Telltale’s spin with the popular fantasy series. It has kept pretty much any and all information under wraps, and we haven’t even been able to get a screenshot of what the graphic style might look like. How Telltale plans to launch a game with so little hype and information is beyond me, but perhaps it believes the name brand is powerful enough to make it a certified hit.
Telltale has two months to go before 2014 is over, and the holiday season is quickly coming to a close. Its other series, Tales from the Borderlands, is also expected to launch before the end of the year with a placeholder launch window of “2014,” and The Walking Dead Season 3 has also been confirmed to be in the works.
So far, Game of Thrones has been confirmed for only the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and Mac. Something tells me that PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are not too far off in the future either.
