Nintendo’s Resident Evil Sale Will Keep You Terrified on Halloween

Resident Evil - Revelations - 7

The PlayStation Store is not the only place to find great Halloween savings on your favorite scary video games. Nintendo has teamed up with Capcom to chop down the prices of all Resident Evil games found on Nintendo platforms until Nov. 4.

What? Resident Evil games exist on Nintendo platforms? Yes, it’s true! In fact, the best Resident Evil game of the last ten years, Resident Evil Revelations HD, is a wonderful option for those who own a Wii U and want a really solid survival-horror game to tide them over. The sale drops it down to just $15.99, and that is a bargain for the amount of game you are getting.

As for the Nintendo 3DS, the original handheld release for Resident Evil Revelations is also up for grabs at $8.99. I have never played this original release, so maybe it’s finally time to check out its roots with the heavily slashed price. Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D is also available for $7.99, but from what I hear, that extra dollar you pay for Revelations makes all the difference. Mercenaries 3D is not a very popular game.

Regardless, if you own a Nintendo platform and have not yet gotten a chance to play Resident Evil Revelations, be it the portable version or HD remake, now is the time to do so. Resident Evil Revelations 2 is rumored to be released around February of 2015, and it is looking to help get the franchise back on its feet.
