Lenovo Adds a 13-Inch Windows Tablet to the Yoga Lineup

Lenovo unveiled five new tablets earlier this month, and now the company has yet another new device. It revealed a new 13.3-inch Yoga Tablet 2 slate running Windows 8.1 on Thursday. The new tablet is a high-end Windows equivalent to the Android-powered Yoga Tablet 2 Pro, though it’s missing some of that device’s more daring features.

The 13-inch Yoga Tablet 2 with Windows offers an IPS display at a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, a quad-core Intel Atom processor, a 15-hour 12,800mAh battery, a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with microSD support. It also packs dual Hi-Fi speakers with a subwoofer, though it’s missing the built-in projector that comes with the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro.

The design is pretty much what we’ve come to expect from Lenovo’s Yoga tablets, featuring that long cylinder-shaped battery along one side that also serves as a handle and a clever kickstand. The 13-inch Yoga Tablet 2 with Windows will be available next month for $699 bundled with a matching Bluetooth keyboard.
