When Halo: The Master Chief Collection releases in just a few weeks, it will include a brand new feature for Halo 2: Forge Mode. IGN has a first look at Forge, and it looks outstanding.
With Forge, gamers are able to play with a pile of tools presented by the devs in order to create entirely custom game modes and maps. This all started with Halo 3, and Forge turned Halo‘s community into an epic and constantly creative pool of gamers.
Some of my favorite game modes come from Forge. Look at this one, for instance. I played Speed way too often when this map came out.
Seeing Forge in action specifically for Halo 2 is exciting. I personally can’t wait for the community to get a hold of all the crazy tools so I can play the ridiculous maps and game types they come up with.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection will release for the Xbox One on Nov. 11. We’ll have more on the game as it comes.
