Google Hangouts is already a pretty nice alternative to regular cellular calling thanks to its recent Google Voice integration, and now the company is rolling out an offer that makes it even better. Through the rest of the year the first minute of every Hangouts Call is free in 25 countries. It’s not much, but it’s good for relaying a quick message when you need to.

Supported countries include Austria, Belgium, Brazil, China, Dominican Republic, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK. Meanwhile all Hangouts Calls made in the U.S. and Canada should be completely free, though in some situations you may end up paying one cent per minute after the first minute.

Making calls with Google Hangouts is pretty easy. Just download the Hangouts dialer and you should be good to go, though you’ll need to sign up for a Google account as well if you haven’t already. That’s about it. Hit the source link below for more info and enjoy those free minute-long calls while you still can.
