Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the most recent game from Rockstar’s immensely successful GTA series to be ported to mobile, is now fully optimized for the larger displays of Apple’s iPhone and iPhone 6 Plus. The update comes just a day after San Andreas celebrated its 10th anniversary and went on sale for the first time on Android and iOS.
San Andreas was first released on the PlayStation 2 on October 24, 2014, and became the platform’s most successful title ever, with over 17 million copies sold. It was ported to Microsoft’s original Xbox the following June, then made its debut on iOS last December before expanding to Android and Windows Phone earlier this year.
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Rockstar has reduced San Andreas on mobile for the first time, giving fans the opportunity to put the title in their pockets for just $3.99 — down from $6.99 — for a limited time. Its predecessors, GTA 3 and Vice City, are also down to $2.99 from $4.99.
As if that wasn’t enough, Rockstar has also updated San Andreas to optimize its visuals for the larger Retina HD displays on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. It’s currently the only GTA title on iOS to offer this, and that means it’s an even better buy.
In fact, all three GTA titles are a must-have on mobile — particularly if you’re a fan of the series — so we highly recommend you pick them up while they’re reduced if they’re not already a part of your collection. You can use the links below to find them. And if you’re more of a console gamer, you can get San Andreas HD on Xbox 360 starting today.
