Apple typically announces a firm launch date for its new iPhone and iPad products. This year, however, Apple didn’t provide an in-store date when it announced the new iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3, instead only opting to accept online pre-orders to start.
Starting today, however, Apple is reportedly starting to stock some of its Apple Store locations in the United States and internationally with its new tablets. TechnoBuffalo attempted a Web search for availability in New York City, but the results came up empty. CNBC, however, says it has confirmed with Apple the new slates are arriving in the U.S., Canada, Australia, Japan, Europe and New Zealand.
Apple hasn’t made the news official, yet, and you should probably call your local Apple Store before hopping in the car to pick one up. Hopefully this means we’ll see wider availability in the near future.
