DROID Turbo Press Image Shows All

The DROID Turbo is set to make its debut later this month, but this weekend we got another look at the upcoming super-phone. The latest leak comes from Evleaks, who also shared an accurate press image of the Nexus 6 last week just a day before it was officially unveiled.

The new image doesn’t offer any specifics for the DROID Turbo, but still shows us a close-up look at the upcoming smartphone. As expected, the new phone will apparently come in black and red options. The red model looks like a pretty straightforward plastic slate design, while the black version appears to offer some sort of stitched plastic on the back that could be easier to grip.

The DROID Turbo is expected to offer a 5.2-inch QHD display, a 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, a massive 3900mAh battery and a 21-megapixel camera that shoot 4K video. It will also apparently have built-in wireless charging and Quick Charge 2.0 technology that delivers eight hours of power in just 15 minutes. It should run Android 4.4 out of the box with some of Motorola’s popular software tweaks along with some special DROID features.

Unfortunately the Turbo is all but confirmed to be a Verizon exclusive, so don’t get too excited about Motorola’s upcoming smartphone unless you’re also willing to sign up with Big Red. The new DROID is set to debut on Oct. 28, so we should get an official look at the device in the very near future.
