Seriously, who rides horses anymore? Fairy elf boys who wear green tunics like they never went out of style from the Shakespeare days? Maybe, but certainly not Nintendo’s rough and tough action adventure star, Link, who has a new way to peel around the kingdom of Hyrule.
Sadly though, motorcycles do not yet exist in the Legend of Zelda canon. Something about that whole “electricity” and “gasoline” thing has yet to dawn on the fantasy world. Instead, this is the bike that will accompany Link in his Mario Kart 8 DLC pack. Nintendo tweeted the image as a firm reminder that Link will be appearing in the new pack next month, so die-hard fans should get their wallets ready.

Good thing too, because I nearly forgot!
The DLC pack in question will be released in November, and it will also feature Tanooki Mario, Cat Peach, four new vehicles and eight new tracks. A second DLC pack due sometime in 2015 will star Villager and Isabelle from Animal Crossing as well as Dry Bowser and even more vehicles and tracks. They will be $7.99 each or you can snag them up for $11.99 together.
It’s not exactly deep DLC, but just a whole lot of fun. Link could be a very nice change-up from my “go to” character of Luigi.
