Apple just introduced its new A8X processor, a newer version of the A8 chip in the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus that will power the iPad Air 2.

Apple made the chip specifically for its new tablet, which the company says is 40-percent faster than the company’s iPad Air—that’s blazing fast, and means you’ll get incredible performance when the device officially launches.

Additionally, it’ll offer up to 180x faster graphics performance over Apple the original iPad. You’ll get “console-level” graphics, giving developers the opportunity to create some really incredible experiences.
