Dragon Age: Inquisition is set up to be one of the largest Western RPGs of the year this holiday. The effort from BioWare and EA has been riding on a steady train of hype, and today’s trailer looks to add more coal to the engine… of the hype train. I’ve taken the analogy too far, haven’t I?
“The Hero of Thedas” trailer shows of a bit of the unintelligible story of the game. I say “unintelligible” because, well, we don’t know who these characters and mysterious voices are yet, so their speaking doesn’t really hold much weight. What does hold weight is the visual side of the clip. It’s mostly cutscenes, but Dragon Age: Inquisition looks strong so far. Especially its use of vibrant color.
Hopefully the game plays out miles better than Dragon Age 2. Man oh man did I dislike that sequel. It took everything I loved about Origins and tossed it all right out a window. Let’s bring some of that back, shall we?
Dragon Age: Inquisition is set to consume the free time of PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners when it releases on November 18th, 2014. Once you have the game in your hands, what type of hero are you going to be? Me, I think I’m going to roll the all-out jerk this time. Why not, right?
