Google announced the final version of Android L on Wednesday, officially called Android 5.0 Lollipop, and it will first be available on the brand new Nexus 6 and Nexus 9. However, the company also said that it will offer the update to the Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 in addition to Google Play Edition devices in the “coming weeks.”
As we already knew from Android L, Android 5.0 Lollipop offers a new and flatter “Material Design” overhaul. Google is promising improved battery life, a much smoother experience, bolder graphics for multimedia applications, improved security, support for multiple users on a single device, support for 15 new languages, improved tap and pay, and much more. For owners of all Android devices, this is going to be an update you’ll want to be on the lookout for.
Thankfully, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 owners are certainly being included in the upgrade list.
