Apple is largely expected to unveil the iPad Air 2 during its event later this week. A couple of leaks have revealed what the device might look like – it will reportedly feature a thinner design – and we’re also expecting the inclusion of Touch ID and a faster A8 processor. What will this new product, in addition to a possible newly designed iPad mini, look like next to Apple’s existing mobile product family? Concept artist Martin Hajek created several new photos that show exactly that.
Hajek admits that the design of the iPad Air 2 and new iPad mini might be off a bit, at least the antenna bands, but he took the same design language used from Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus and applied it to the iPad Air 2, which is probably the most accurate guess at what Apple’s new iPad will look like. “Not sure if I would like this though – the plastic bands on the iPhone 6 just feel … well…too plastic-ey to me,” Hajek said in a blog post revealing his concepts.
Of course, we’ll know what the iPad Air 2 actually looks like on Oct. 16, assuming Apple does indeed unveil the new device, and we suspect it will. For now, this will give you a good idea of what might be coming.
