Hotline Miami 2’s Launch Might Slip Into 2015

We have some problematic news for Hotine Miami‘s fanbase. The insanely violent top-down trip into the early 90s might not release as soon as developer Dennaton and publisher Devolver Digital had hoped.

Dennaton announced on Twitter that work on Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is taking a little more time than they thought it would; as such, they’ve announced a minor delay and a potential release window.

Here’s the word.

The video you see above is one fan’s reaction, though it had me laughing hard enough to forgive the developers on this one. And, hey, I’d much rather have a late game done right than a game on time that’s broken.

Dennaton asked for patience, as well.

I’m already extremely pumped for Hotline Miami 2, so seeing the developers say that the game won’t be what I’m expecting is pretty darn exciting to me. The first game blew me away, and I’m hoping to see the second do the same.

We’ll have more on Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, including the official release date, as it comes. Stay tuned.
