Droid Turbo Battery Leaks Out… And it’s a Big One

Motorola still hasn’t confirmed its plans to launch the Droid Turbo, but a steady stream of leaks have revealed pretty much everything there is to know about the Verizon-exclusive smartphone. Now one more piece of the puzzle is coming into place: battery life.

Based on leaked photo posted to Chinese e-commerce site Taobao, it looks like the Droid Turbo could sport a 3900mAh battery. That’s massive, even compared to other flagship phablets like Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 (3200mAh) or the LG G3 (3000mAh). The picture in question includes the model number EQ40, which Droid-Life points out is the same number spotted in a recent FCC filing for the rumored smartphone.

At this point we have a pretty good idea of what the expect from the Droid Turbo. Motorola’s upcoming super-phone should pack a 5.2-inch 2K display, a Snapdragon 805 processor, a 21-megapixel camera, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and a 3900mAh battery with built-in wireless charging. It’s also expected to offer some of the best software Motorola has to offer, including Moto Display, Actions, Assist, Voice and Connect while running a near-stock version of Android.

With all the power under the hood, the Droid Turbo could end up being the best phone released all year, though rumor has it Verizon has an exclusive on the device. Still, we can’t wait to try out Motorola’s new smartphone for ourselves.
