Every Game Boy Title Screen in Two Hours and Ten Minutes

YouTube user NicksplosionFX is back! After chronicling every single NES and Super Nintendo title screen in previous videos, his latest nostalgia covers the handheld classic Game Boy games. Two hours of blips and bloops with the ancient machine’s limited sound capabilities and not a drop of color in sight. That is, unless you consider that nasty green and darker nasty green a color pallet.

While not as visually impressive as the superior Super Nintendo or nostalgic as the NES, the Game Boy title screens certainly are loaded with charm. I haven’t watched the whole thing, but I definitely have a lot of these permanently imprinted on my brain. Much like with its sequel Demon Crest back in the Super Nintendo video, Capcom knew how to get a game started with Gargoyle’s Quest.

Pokemon is a classic as Red tosses Pokeballs and random monsters from the original 150 fly across the screen, and there just simply isn’t anything in the world like the iconic intro screen to Link’s Awakening. I mean, it’s just a giant Yoshi egg on top of a mountain. What’s not to like about it?

What are your favorites from the bunch? Be sure to check out Avenging Spirit‘s, the incredible intro to Legend of the River King, or Trip World‘s, the best Game Boy game you’ve never played. They are sure to brighten your day.
