Dragon Age: Inquisition Trailer Offers 9 Minutes of Max PC Settings

Dragon Age: Inquisition isn’t the most difficult game in the world to get running on a decent rig; but, if you can crank it to the max, BioWare’s latest is an absolutely stunning RPG. I was worried that the Frostbite Engine 3 would make its aesthetic more generic than BioWare’s in-house engine, but I’m glad to see I was wrong. This game is very pretty, and it keeps that framerate chugging at an unbelievable pace.

I just wish this trailer had a bit more “open” of an environment to show off. Forests can only show off so much before trees start getting in the way.

Nine minutes of combat from the game are enough to get a feel for the action approach BioWare has decided to take with this entry. Blast through enemies as any one of your party members, or swap through them on the fly and take control of the best to fit the situation. I dunno about you, but that back-flipping dwarf and his crossbow are about as cool as they come.

There are no voice overs or explanations in this video, but none are required. The gameplay does all the talking, and it should be more than enough to secure Dragon Age: Inquisition a spot on your holiday radar if it isn’t already there. The game launches for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC on November 21st in the states. I’m hoping you cut your teeth on at least the next-gen console builds to get something resembling this level of quality out of it.

As far as I am concerned, though, the PC version is the definitive one.
