Apple’s Camera Roll Might Return In iOS 8.1

Apple iPhone 6 Plus - Gold-2

Looks like Apple’s Camera Roll, which Apple ditched when iOS 8 was released, might make a triumphant comeback. Sometimes it’s the little things that make all the difference.

In the latest iOS 8.1 beta, Camera Roll is front and center in the Photos app—and it’s definitely a sight for sore eyes. When the tab first went bye-bye, Apple replaced the feature with a “Recently Added” album, which only lets users see pictures from the past 30 days. Let’s just say people weren’t happy, and it looks like Apple is caving to user feedback.

Hopefully this is the same Camera Roll people all know and love, and not some merging with the recently added tab. We downloaded the iOS 8.1 beta on an iPhone 6 Plus here in the office, and can confirm that Camera Roll is indeed there. Rumors suggest iOS 8.1 will be released on Oct. 20 that, in addition to Camera Roll, should introduce Apple Pay.
