That didn’t take long, did it? Battle Chef Brigade, the gorgeous affair that asks players to hunt monsters, kill them and cook them for a panel of judges, has officially met its funding goal on Kickstarter.
The Trinket Studios team asked for $38,000. At the time of writing this post, they’re only a few days into the 30 day campaign, and they’ve raised $44,522. The game will now definitely come to the PC platform in 2016.
The team is aiming to keep the money rolling in, so they’re working on a slew of stretch goals. Here’s the word from their most recent update.
We had a meeting yesterday to plan out stretch goals and although we’ve got a rough idea about what we’ll be pushing for, it’ll take another couple days to get everything perfect. We don’t want to just make up numbers! So, look for Stretch Goals in the next update!
Personally, I’m hoping this game makes its way to other platforms. I know that’s a lot to ask of a small team, but I’d love bringing this cooking experience to my TV. We’ll see what they offer up in terms of what we can reach for.
For now, monster cooking fans, rest easy knowing that Battle Chef Brigade is absolutely happening. We’ll have more on the game as it comes.
