ScreamRide, if the Gamescom 2014 reveal was a genuine indication, appears to be the roller coaster game most of us were making back during our Tycoon days. You know, the one that terrorized riders?
Xbox’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb did a brief interview with Jorg Neumann, Executive Producer, concerning exactly what ScreamRide is and how it’s being made. It turns out, this is more than just a roller coaster building tool.
The most interesting thing about ScreamRide that I learned from the video above is that a huge portion of the game’s content lies in the destruction of the things you’ve built. After you make your coaster and the buildings surrounding it, you’ll hurl giant balls at each object’s weak point in the hopes of bringing it down with a single massive blow.
That sounds absurd, and it also sounds like exactly what I want out of this type of game.
ScreamRide is set to roll out on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 in the spring of 2015. We’ll have more on the game as it comes, so stay tuned.
