Motorola’s DROID Turbo is shaping up to be one of the most impressive devices of the year. We’ve already seen the device leak out a few times in the past month, and now a new benchmark from GFXBench appears to confirm just how beastly the new DROID will be.
The new benchmark pretty much reiterates everything we already knew about the DROID Turbo. Motorola’s upcoming smartphone is expected to come equipped with a 5.2-inch 2560 x 1440-pixel display, a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, a 19-megapixel rear camera (possibly 20-megapixels based on earlier leaks) and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. According to GFXBench, the Turbo will also offer 2.9GB of RAM (probably 3GB officially) and 21GB of storage, though that will probably come out to 32GB out of the box at launch.
The DROID Turbo is definitely an intriguing device, though unfortunately it’s likely to be a Verizon exclusive when it launches later this year. Based on recent leaks, the design looks like its all-rugged plastic, though it still has a bit more style compared to recent DROID devices. Motorola’s really upped its game in the past year and we’re curious to see what the means for the DROID line-up at Verizon.
Hopefully we won’t have to wait to long before the new device is officially announced.
