Here’s What’s Disappearing (and Being Added) To Netflix In October

ghostbusters-36

I’ll cut to the chase. On Sept. 30, some incredible content will be purged from Netflix’s catalog. I’m talking Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2, Battlestar Galactica, Mean Girls and Legends of the Fall. The streaming service’s library has seen a lot of great content come and go over the past few months, but I don’t think I can handle much more of this. I mean, the Thomas Crowne Affair?!

Of course, whenever movies and TV shows are pulled, new ones are added. And, more often than not, content that does get pulled is put right back up depending on if Netflix can reach an agreement with the movie studios. Let’s hope for our delicate little hearts that both Ghostbusters movies are put back up. Also expiring in early October, according to What’s On Netflix Now, is all Animal Planet, Discovery Channel and Learning Channel programs. Yikes.

You thought I’d end this without telling you about some of the movies being added? According to Netflix, you can expect films like Django Unchained, Rain Man, Tombstone (!) and Team America: World Police to be added in October. Maybe I take back what I said about not being able to take any more of this. Those are some excellent titles. And for you Sons of Anarchy fans, Season 6 of the famous FX show is being added.

I’d recommend firing up the service right now and getting in one last binge before these films disappear (but hopefully not for good).
