Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor might be one of the quieter success stories this year. The game isn’t quite out yet, but despite its relative silence and lack of hype, initial reviews have been overwhelmingly positive.
Some are suggesting it’s a blend of Batman: Arkham and Assassin’s Creed with an obvious leaning towards Tolkien’s hugely popular fantasy world. If that sounds like your jam, you’ll want to check out the more than eight minute long overview trailer above.
The clip goes over the storyline of the game, the enemies and friends you’ll encounter, the way you’ll go about landing your revenge and the unique Nemesis System that makes Shadow of Mordor so interesting.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor will sell for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Sept. 30. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will sell on Nov. 18.
