Bloodborne’s Demo at TGS Only Saw 40 Winners out of 1,250 Players

Bloodborne is From Software’s upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive. It looks gorgeous, and it also looks insanely brutal. Our own Ron Duwell had a chance to go hands-on with the title at the Tokyo Game Show this past weekend, and you can read his thoughts here.

DualShockers has it that Producer Masaaki Yamagiwa and Marketing Manager Yasuhiro Kitao took the stage at TGS during a Sunday panel and revealed some harsh numbers.

It turns out Ron was one of 1,250 gamers who sat down and had a go at the demo during the show. Of those 1,250 attempts, only 40 people actually won. Compare that to PAX Prime where 3,500 people played the game and only 20 won. Victory, Japan.

Bloodborne, in spite of the name and setting swap, has an inherently Dark Souls feel to it according to all the previews I’ve read so far. It’s going to be an unforgiving ride, so, if you’re into that sort of thing, get ready for this one.

Bloodborne will hit the PlayStation 4 exclusively on Feb. 6, 2015.
