T-Mobile introduced the new Personal CellSpot router during its Un-Carrier 7.0 event a week ago. The CellSpot is a router that can replace, or complement, an existing Internet connection inside your house. It then routes your T-Mobile phone calls over your phone’s Wi-Fi connection. It’s particularly useful if you have spotty coverage, offers HD voice calling and, better yet, it’s free after a $25 deposit.

The Personal CellSpot is now available from T-Mobile for qualified Simple Choice customers today, and the carrier said it’s incredibly easy to get one. “All a customer has to do is go into a T-Mobile store or call T-Mobile’s Care line to get a Personal CellSpot sent to them for no extra charge with a $25 refundable deposit,” the company explained.

Additionally, T-Mobile said its new GoGo partnership is live starting today. That enables customers to send and receive text messages and receive visual voicemails while in-flight on GoGo-enabled aircraft for free. Customers interested in that free promotion will first have to place a Wi-Fi call, which activates the handset for use over Wi-Fi.
