It hasn’t even a week since a pre-order retail card leaked the release date for Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U as November 21st, and Nintendo has already provided a leak of its own!
Nintendo France accidentally threw the November 21st date up in an advertisement on an official banner ad for Hyrule Warriors before quickly pulling it. However, the Internet does not forgive and forget so easily, and GoNintendo tipsters were able to snag a screenshot.
Nintendo France claims that it was uploaded in error, but seeing as this was the second time the date has appeared in a week, it’s looking more and more like the real thing. Once is chance, twice is coincidence, three times is science. We still need to wait for an official word from Nintendo before confirming anything, but we’re growing more and more confident by the day that you’ll be playing Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U on November 21st.
The Nintendo 3DS version will be released on October 3rd, and we are super pumped after going hands on with the demo. It would be a shame if Nintendo is keeping the release date secret for so long because it is worried about Nintendo 3DS sales figures. Both versions are going to be worthy additions to your collection.
