Have a Fire TV? You can now listen to Spotify through Amazon’s great set-top box, which is still hitting its stride after releasing earlier this year. The announcement comes via Spotify’s blog, which says premium U.S. subscribers can control the experience on Fire TV with phones and tablets using Spotify Connect. The implementation allows users to seamlessly control the experience, and easily switch back and forth between the Fire TV and a mobile device.

Spotify Connect, as you may have guessed, requires a premium subscription, which goes for $9.99 in the U.S. Your set-top box might not be the best destination for streaming music, but say you have a great sound system hooked up to your TV. Now the new combo makes it easier than ever to access the more than 20 million songs in Spotify’s great library. Of course, that’s assuming you have a Fire TV, which is $99.

Compared to another one of Amazon’s most recent releases (Fire Phone), the Fire TV is a solid product that offers easy access to the company’s immense digital storefront. Is it better than something like the Roku, or even Google’s affordable Chromecast? That’s for you to decide.
