NVIDIA on Tuesday announced that it’s now accepting pre-orders for the NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet with 32GB of storage and 4G LTE connectivity. The device will retail for $399 and supports (though doesn’t require) AT&T’s 4G LTE network. That means consumers in both the U.S. and Europe can opt to pick one up. The device will officially start shipping later this month on Sept. 30.
We’re huge fans of the NVIDIA Shield Tablet – we dubbed in the best Android tablet available in our review. It provides an almost-vanilla Android experience but with a huge focus on gaming. And it does particularly well with gaming thanks to NVIDIA’s Tegra K1 processor, support for broadcasting Twitch streams, an optional controller that uses Wi-Fi Direct and more. NVIDIA said that customers who opt to use the device on AT&T will receive a $100 bill credit upon activation, bringing the cost down to the same price as the non-LTE model, and they can add the device to an existing AT&T Mobile Share Value account for just $10 per month.
NVIDIA also announced three new games that are coming to the NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet soon, including Beach Buggy Racing, BombSquare and Broadsword. For more information on the titles and to pre-order the tablet for yourself, hit the source below.
