There’s a good chance we’ll see a Nexus 9 keyboard case when the device officially launches later this year. VR-Zone, via Android Police, has posted a few images of the case on its way through NCC certification, along with the UG0B model number. According to a previous report from Android Police, this is indeed a case being made for the Nexus 9, which previous reports claim, is being made by HTC.
There’s really not much here to go on, and it doesn’t give us any new information on the upcoming tablet. We already know pretty much everything there is to know, however, aside from the possible design, which is said to have aluminum “zero-gap construction with tapered-sides.” Other possible details include an 8.9-inch display, an NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16/32GB of internal storage and an 8-megapixel camera with OIS.
As far as upcoming tablets go, this is turning out to be one of the worst kept secrets. We’re expecting the device to come out later this fall, so we’ll keep our eye on any further developments. When it does hit, it appears folks will definitely have the choice to pick up a keyboard case.
