Moto G users on Boost Mobile have been waiting a long time for their Android 4.4.4 KitKat update — a lot longer than other Moto G users — but at long last, it’s finally here. Users can look forward to camera improvements, security fixes, an updated dialer in the Phone app, and more.
Motorola’s Moto G and Moto X became the first third-party devices to get Android 4.4.4 following its release back in June — but some have had to wait a lot longer than most to get it. Fortunately for those users, this isn’t a major upgrade, though it does come with some welcome changes and improvements.

Android™ 4.4.4, KitKat® – Android 4.4.4, KitKat, is the latest release of the Android platform. This release includes accuracy improvements to the power profile, several stability, framework and security fixes including update to OpenSSL.
Camera – Pause video recording – Added the ability to pause video recording with a convenient pause/resume button on the viewfinder.
Updated Phone dialler – Updated Phone dialler with a new graphical layout and colours to improve consistency and usability.
Enables Motorola Alert Application download – New Motorola Alert application sends periodic alerts with your location to your selected contacts. Now available for download from the Google Play Store.
If you are a Moto G user on Boost Mobile, you should find this update is available to download over-the-air right away. If you haven’t already received an update notification, you can search for the software manually from within the Software Update section in the Settings app.
