If you weren’t up past midnight Pacific time last night, here’s a quick public service announcement: you can now pre-order the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus from Apple or the wireless carrier of your choice. While orders did indeed open late last night, the Apple Store wasn’t fully functional for most folks, and wireless carrier sites were crashing. T-Mobile’s site didn’t even list either phone for sale until early this morning.
Apple’s site now says most iPhone 6 Plus models will ship in 3-4 weeks, which is far beyond the Sept. 19 launch date, but plenty of iPhone 6 options can still be delivered on that day. Either millions of people logged-in last night and swooped up the iPhone 6 Plus available stock, or Apple is creating a limited supply so that people go and line up outside of its retail stores for the phone ahead of launch.
Either way, you can try to order one now if you haven’t already.
