New Apple TV Update to Debut Today, Too?

Apple TV in the Woods - 01

Most reports have suggested that Apple’s main announcements today will include the iPhone 6 with a 4.7-inch display, a larger 5.5-inch version of the iPhone 6, the iWatch and possibly a new iPad Air 2 device. Apple has been reportedly working on a new Apple TV for a long time, though rumors surrounding that device have died down recently. Now there’s a sign that maybe Apple has plans to show something new.

Dave Zatz from Zatznotfunny said on Twitter this morning that he has learned “several cable execs will be in attendance,” at Apple’s event today. Perhaps the company is still trying to woo a few of them over, or maybe it has much bigger plans. Zatz surmises that the exec’s attendance could possibly suggest a new Apple TV is on the way. The company has been trying to seal a deal with Comcast for streaming TV options., and perhaps to even provide cable service direct to an Apple TV set-top box. The new Apple TV may also offer its own app store. Did those talks finally work out? Perhaps.

We’ll know in just a few short hours.
