Microsoft is reportedly in talks and close to a final deal to acquire Mojang, the maker of popular game Minecraft, The Wall Street Journal said on Tuesday. Apparently Redmond isn’t too shy about spending more than just a few bucks on the game maker, either: The Wall Street Journal said Microsoft is ready to cough up as much as $2 billion.

Minecraft launched on the PlayStation 4 five days ago and is also available on the Xbox 360, the Xbox One, mobile operating systems, the PlayStation 3 and, of course, on the PC. Since its debut almost 10 years ago, Mojang has sold more than 50 million copies of Minecraft, The Wall Street Journal explained, noting that Mojang raked in $100 million in 2013 alone.

Neither company has publicly confirmed the talks.
