I’ve been in the mood for a solid tower defense effort for a few weeks now, and it looks like Toy Soldiers: War Chest might satiate that need in the coming months.
Bound for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2015, this tower defense effort lets you manage the game from above or hop down and control every single aspect of battle from third person.
That includes calling in heroes, absolutely ridiculous characters and tropes based on the army or faction you’re playing with at the time. Romping through matches as heroes was pleasing in the other Toy Soldiers titles, so hopefully that fun is retained here.
This game looks like a nice time waster in between more massive properties, and I was certainly a fan of the original and its sequel. If the price is right, I’ll definitely be all over this one when it drops. Now, PC or console? I don’t know…
