Rocksteady and WB Games announced today what we hope is the final release date for Batman: Arkham Knight: June 2, 2015.

Arkham Knight was first set for release this fall. Just after E3 this year, an entry for the game appeared in Microsoft’s Xbox One game store with a February 24 release date – the same as The Witcher 3.

Rocksteady released Batman: Arkham Asylum back in 2009 and its sequel, Arkham City, in 2011. Rocksteady has said that this is their final Batman game, so it’s easy to imagine the team wants to get this game just right.

It hurts to have to wait even longer for our next Batman fix, but with Rocksteady at the helm, we can feel safe knowing this game will be worth waiting for, and that it’s good to let them take their time and finish it up.

And hey: now we know we’ll have something worthwhile to play in June.
