Xperia Z3 for Verizon Leaks Out With Wireless Charging

Sony’s had some trouble getting its flagship phones into the U.S. in the past, but it looks like the brand new Xperia Z3 could land on more than one American carrier. We already know the Z3 is headed to T-Mobile, while recent reports suggest it could be available from Sprint as well. Now a new report from PCMag has us thinking the device will launch on Verizon as well.

The site claims it received a set of “reliable documents” which include a photo of the Xperia Z3 with Verizon’s logo on the back. The leaked files also suggest the device will offer NFC, 32GB of storage with microSD support, 3GB of RAM and wireless charging. That last feature seems a bit suspicious; wireless charging hasn’t been confirmed for any version of the Xperia Z3 as far as we know, but that doesn’t mean Verizon can’t add the technology if it really wants to.

Overall Sony’s new smartphone is just a minor upgrade over the Xperia Z2, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a great device. The Z3 comes equipped with a 5.2-inch 1080p display, a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 20-megapixel camera and a 3100mAh battery. If you’re still using an older phone this could be a nice step up.

For now only T-Mobile has confirmed it’s getting the Xperia Z3, but it looks like the new phone could get a much wider release than we expected. With Verizon and Sprint reportedly onboard can AT&T be far behind?
