Yesterday’s Nintendo Direct for Bayonetta 2 didn’t reveal too much new information about Platinum Games’ upcoming action game. We already knew the release date is going to be Oct. 24, and we already knew that it is exclusive to the Wii U.
What we hadn’t seen yet are the Nintendo themed costumes in Bayonetta 2. Of course, the original game remastered for the Wii U will allow Bayonetta to dress up as Link, Peach, and Samus for some doses of hilarity. Yesterday’s briefing confirmed that not only would the costumes also be available in the sequel but that an adorable Star Fox costume would be joining it.
Nintendo also showed off the game’s co-op mode called Tag Climax and the six maps that will be available to play it in. Bayonetta will be joined by her weapons dealer Rodin for this multiplayer mode, and in-game currency will be able to be traded between the single player and multiplayer.
Bayonetta 2 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting action games on the market this fall, and it will be available for the Wii U on Oct. 24.
