New Moto G Leaks on Video Ahead of Announcement

Motorola won’t officially unveil its new Moto lineup until tomorrow early morning (or later tonight), but its products are already breaking cover. Brazilian retailer Lojas Colombo posted a YouTube video—it has already been pulled—showing off Motorola’s new Moto G, which we’ve seen plenty of over the past few weeks.

The device is essentially exactly as we expected. When it launches, the Moto G2 will sport a 5-inch screen (resolution is unclear), Android 4.4, an 8-megapixel camera and improved Motorola Assist. The video also hints at a quad-core Snapdragon processor, along with the return of different color backs, which has become a staple of Motorola’s smartphone lineup.

The video also mentions some features specific for the Brazilian market, such as digital TV and dual SIM support. But we imagine there’s also a model heading to the U.S., along with other markets overseas. We’ll find out real soon exactly what the device will offer, along with the introduction of the Moto X successor and the Moto 360.
