Motorola has announced its much-anticipated Moto 360 will be available starting Friday through motorola.com, Google Play and Best Buy retailers across the U.S. And, as we heard before, the wearable will be just $249.99, though if you want it with a metal band, you’ll be looking to pay $299. If you do go with the $249.99 model, you’ll be able to pick up different bands later this fall; metal bands will be $79.99, while leather bands will be $29.99.
Many smartwatch hopefuls have been eagerly awaiting the Moto 360’s arrival, and finally the device is available to purchase. Android Wear watches haven’t been the most sought after gadgets thus far, but the Moto 360 has always been high on many peoples’ must have lists. We actually got to play with one back at Google I/O, albeit with a demo unit.
If you’ve been waiting to get the Moto 360 to jump into the Android Wear market, your experience will essentially be the same as the G Watch and Gear Live. Still, the device looks a lot nicer than what you can purchase right now; there’s something great about the classic look of a traditional timepiece being infused with new technology.
Are you going to pick one up? We’ll definitely have more coverage on the Moto 360 in the coming days, so stay tuned.
