Galaxy Note 4 vs. Galaxy S5 Spec Shootout

by Brandon Russell | September 3, 2014September 3, 2014 7:30 pm PST

Feeling buyer’s remorse? Such is the life in the Android market. One minute you have the Galaxy S5, and the next you get the Galaxy Note 4. (There are obviously other terrific options out there.) So the question becomes: which device should you get?

Now that the Note 4 has been unveiled, it’s not that the Galaxy S5 seems “old.” But you can certainly argue that Samsung was saving the best for last. The Note 4 offers a much-improved design, a higher resolution screen, more advanced stylus support, and an overall package that’s more suited for creators and executives.

The S5, on the other hand, is for all intents and purposes Samsung’s “iPhone,” a device designed for the masses, iterating little by little as the years go on. Samsung’s Note 4, meanwhile, continues to take farther, more daring leaps, and this year’s is obviously the company’s most exciting Note yet. So, S5 owners, are you feeling sad you didn’t wait? If you’re on the fence, you can check out the spec shootout below.
