Earlier this week saw the leak of a new version of Dead or Alive 5 heading to the next-gen consoles. Titled Dead or Alive 5 Last Round, Koei Tecmo has confirmed that this latest version of the popular fighting game will also be playable on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
A trio of official screenshots and the brand new gameplay trailer should show all all you need to see if you want to upgrade. Team Ninja Leader Yosuke Hayashi claims that this will be the definitive version of the game.
“Dead or Alive 5 Last Round marks an exciting step forward for the franchise, and one that fans have been asking for. Bringing the game to a new generation of consoles is allowing us to create the most graphically striking version of any Dead or Alive game ever, and we are very happy to give our fans the chance to experience our signature high energy fighting entertainment as only the latest consoles can deliver it.”
Dead or Alive 5 Last Round offers the largest cast of characters in the series to date extending out to Hayabusa, Hayate, Kasumi, Ayane, Rig, Momiji, Leon, Kokoro, Tina, Lisa, Brad Wong, Jann Lee, Hitomi, Leifang, Christie, Eliot, Leon, Gen Fu, Bayman, Bass, Zack, Helena, Marie Rose, Phase 4 and newly released Nyotengu along with Akira, Pai, Jacky and Sarah Bryant. Combined with other customization options, players will have up to 300 choices of how they will look in battle.
Koei Tecmo has also confirmed that players who already own either of the previous versions will be able to transfer all of their DLC from the older consoles to the new ones for free.
No release date just yet, but Dead or Alive 5 Last Round will be released for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
