The Iconia Tab 8 W is supposed to be a device that offers both work and play features. It runs Windows 8.1 and even ships with a free year of Microsoft Office 365 Personal. The device is just 0.38-inches thick and weighs just 0.8-pounds and is equipped with an 8-inch 1280 x 800-pixel display, an Intel Atom Z3735G quad-core processor and more. It will launch in the EMEA in October for about 149€ and in Pan America this November for $149.99.
Acer also unveiled the Iconia Tab 10 with Dolby Digital Plus and stereo surround-sound speakers. It’s equipped with a 10.1-inch FHD IPS display with Zero Air Gap technology, an anti-fingerprint coating, Android 4.4 KitKat, a quad-core MediaTek processor,, microHDMI, Wireless Display support and more. It will launch in September in black and white for just $199.
Finally, Acer also announced the Iconia One 8 (family pictured at top of story), a tablet that it says is designed “for everyone.” The device, as its name implies, offers an 8-inch display with a 1280 x 800-pixel resolution, an Intel Atom Z3735G quad-core processor, Android 4.4 KitKat and more. The main selling point is the wide variety of colors Acer plans to launch, including green, yellow, orange, blue, white, black, pink, purple, sky blue and red options. Acer only announced intentions to sell the device in the EMEA where it will launch in October for 149€.
