While everyone is focused on the Moto X+1 launching soon, a new picture of the supposed packaging for the Moto G2 reminds us it won’t be alone.
Motorola is set to hold an event in Chicago on Thursday, and amongst the potential announcements is the Moto G2. We’ve been hearing rumors for some time now that the successor to Motorola’s cheaper device would be arriving at the same time as the Moto X+1, but a new image obtained by GimmickMag adds even more fuel to that fire.
The picture appears to be the retail packaging for the Moto G2, although it does just simply say “Moto G” on it. It is unlike any previous packaging we’ve seen for the device or any of its variants, and seeing as it appears to be a case full of them, it doesn’t exactly scream fan made to us. If this is indeed the real packaging, then it appears that the phone will be rolling out to stores fairly quickly after the announcement.
Motorola will be holding its press event on Thursday, so we’ll know more then. TechnoBuffalo will be in attendance, so stay tuned for all of the details.
